Master of Science in English Language and Literature has been drafted so that students engage in analysing the literature, folklore, history and culture of English language. In this master course, English is mandatory language; the historical development of language and literature, the relationship between language and thinking as well as the relationship between language and culture will be studied on complex perspectives. Advanced courses in literature and culture are intertwined with the linguistic and research analysis. Thorough investigation, literary and artistic criticism are part of the programme. Graduates engage in research and professional projects and are motivated to further their studies in the relevant field. Lecturing is conducted in English and lasts two years. The programme consists of 120 ECTS and 13 courses, 1 project and is finalised with an academic scientific paper.

Duration of study

Master of Science in English Language and Literature consists of two academic years divided into 4 semesters.

Master of Science in English Language and Literature consists of 120 ECTS, 1 ECTS = 25 hours

Title of Diploma

At the end of the program, students are issued a Master Diploma - Master of Science in English Language and Literature

Employment Opportunities

Graduates of the Bachelor program in English Language and Literature can perform the following tasks:

  • Lecturer /Teacher in public and /or private schools of any profile
  • May work as translator in public administration and /or international and /or local organizations
  • Academic at university
  • Communication moderator in public and/or private companies that practice economic and trade interchanges with English-speaking counterparts
  • Translator and/or editor in the media
  • Intercultural communicator in Tourism
  • Specialist of intercultural relations in governmental organizations and/or various NGOs
  • Relation Office Mediator between one’s country and other countries in public and/or private institutions
